Our First Work Party

On Friday, we went to our first work party since Randy started working for The Church here in Utah. It was just his department, but it's still pretty big. The party was an Argentine Barbecue with bounce houses and ball games for the kids, and it was a lot of fun.

We didn't have a hard time noticing the huge differences between the company parties at match.com (where Randy used to work) and this one. We listed a few of the differences and thought you might find them amusing:

Match.com Company Party vs. LDS Church EIM Team Party

Bring your “Significant Other” -- Bring the wife and kids
Valet parking of shiny sedans -- Self-parked 15-passenger vans
Open bar with champagne and beer -- Cooler with lemonade and rootbeer
Women in revealing evening wear -- Women in maternity wear
Start off the evening with a speech by the CEO -- Start the evening with a word of prayer
Catered steak dinner -- BBQ at a Stake Center
Trying to get a Full House at Casino Night -- Trying to get the kids out of the bounce house at the end of the night
Take home a souvenir shot glass to add to your collection -- Take home some leftover pork chops to add to your food storage
